The Greatest Miracle

The Greatest Miracle...

Many miracles God has done,
Not the least, was to give His Son.

To pay a debt we could not pay,
Bringing to us salvation's way.

He took the sins from you and me,
And paid for them on Calvary.

Oh, what a miracle indeed,
That from our sins we can be freed.

All we must do is to believe,
Then God's forgiveness we receive!

Author notes

John 3:16 This is my most favorite verse of all. It is the verse that gives us life.

    Exquisite

I don't think I could say anything that would top what already has been said, Penny! The greatest miracle of all was that someone would even be willing to die for all our past sins, that gift being Jesus considering us His friends. This piece is wonderfully simple and gets right to the heart of the matter. Now, email it to me for Monday's NUTS! I mean it!

I do so hope this glorious poem placed in the contest; for it is most deserving!

Lots of love and hugs, B¢¾nnieQ

This is wonderful it was so easy to read with the way you split it up into short stanza's. Also I liked the rhyme which was easy on the head. It was a light gentle poem. Lovely.

Very simple, yet beautifully spoken. It's funny, I have always thought that verse was almost too simple. It seems like it should have more impact considering the words being spoken and the incredible emotion that surely must have been behind them. You have penned another great piece here!

Penny, the message is so simple and that's part of the beauty of this write. He has made it so easy for us to just reach out to Him and you've captured that meaning in this wonderful poetry. vj

This is one of my favorites as well. It is what helps keep me going when things get rough. I just got hit hard by someone in meesas contest on if Jesus came....I had to put her on ignore and block...she didn't like my comment and then wrote a filthy poem slamming me, right along with Jesus. I don't deserve to be included by Him...He is glorious and I am lowly.
    Boy its hard sometimes Penny.
I am glad I read this. Thank you so much for entering the contest.
