Climbing the stairway to Heaven,
see how it reaches up to the sky,
the closer I get to the kingdom,
the closer is the day I will die.
With each last step I look back,
to all the mistakes in my life,
as the thoughts start to filter in,
I see all my heartache and strife.
Long nights with tears and sorrows,
there were also laughter and joy,
with the birth of a sweet baby girl
then blessed with two baby boys,
Looking back my heart realizes,
what ever happened was meant to be,
I traveled the path God predestined,
which would become my destiny.
Now the road is much shorter ahead,
then the path I look back and see,
as I stumbled down life's highway,
God would be waiting there for me.
I never heard Him calling my name,
till one day a young man said to me,
if you believe in God with your heart,
you will live with Him for eternity.
I accepted God into my heart,
so glorious is His love for me.
I was cleansed by the living water,
the moment my soul was set free.
I will dwell in His house forever,
always abide and trust in Thee,
for God is the King of Kings,
as I climb the stairway to eternity.

It is never to late to give your life to Jesus Crist. He is always waiting there with open arms no matter how long it may take for you to find Him. Reach out for Him, your life will never be the same. Give your life to Christ and just wait and see what blessing he will bestow upon you. God Bless you all.

What can I say. You are so sweet. I always smile at the comments you leave son. My heart is so full of love for you right now it's a good thing you are not here. I would squeeze you so hard and not want to let go. You just fill my heart with so much joy and love and it overflows to so many others. As I begin the long journey
of climbing the steps of life
Wondering why I did those things
that caused my own heart-aches and strife
I was about ready to give up and
just let Satan have my soul
Until I learned about the Blood of Christ
who came in and made my life whole
He set me free from the bondage of sin
that I was living deeply in
He opened my eyes to the reality of life
and said I will be with you till the end
So I was was declining down but
now I am climbing higher each day
Climbing closer to God day after day
and letting Him lead and guide the way
So I am with you Sandy in this race
I am standing right next to you
And together we will arm ourselves
and march forward in the truth
With the Bible as our weapon and
the spirit as our shield
We will not be knocked down
and we will not yield
We will march for the battle field
that is yet ahead of you and me
And together when we both die
we will finally reach eternity...
Sandy, this was an amazing write and I just want to say that It has been a blessing being a part of your life and I am forever changed and blessed by the kindness you have shown me. You are a worthy mother to have with a tender heart and loving kindess. With every poem you write for me, with every kind word you say, Opens my eyes to reality that you are with me to stay. to me.. this stanza signifies the growing in your relationship with god. Climbing the "stair" gets you closer to him mediphorically and physically.
With each last step I look back,

taking a step up and looking down on your mistakes, being able to laugh at them now that you are higher?

Every child is a gift from God, one of the reasons i am so against abortion, you are destroying the gift that god has sent to you.

Yes, god will not place an unclimbable mountain in your path.
Now the road is much shorter ahead,
then the path I look back and see,
as I stumbled down life's highway,

I think that the stairway climbing to become closer to god never ends, so i would think that eventually you would just see stairs as far as you can see, but thats just me.

Good morning Ann, How are you doing. I know you are enjoying this beautiful weather as I am. All is fine with me. Grandaughter Cassy 17 had an awards luncheon in Hersey yesterday.
