Child So dear,
I'll sing you a song
It won't be long.
So rest your head
But don't go to bed
Important things for me to say
You'll need this someday.
Be a good child, and make mistakes
Look out for lairs and fakes.
Laugh and make jokes
but be nice to your folks.
Life is not long
just like this song

And please don't fear.

Hi. This was opition number 4. I hope you like it. I wrote this as a letter/ song to my future child(ren). So please let me know what I can do to fix, change, or something to make my poem better. Thanks.

This is cute, Kinky! You haven't posted in SOOO long, it's good to finally hear from ya! Anywho, I loved the poem. It's really sweet how you're writing to your future children and telling them to be good but to be human, and make mistakes. Wonderful write and good luck in the contest!!
