I flow
Like water
Changing in tides
Flexible
Surrepticious strength

I'm anchored
Like granite
Resilient to the elements, the thrown stones
   of insults
         stabs
             false motives
Concrete in mind and soul
Unmovable, unshakable
Not wavering in the face of tormentuous trial
Strong, smooth

I shine
Like the sunset-lit ocean,
Principled, striving for truth
Like a pure note, a light air
from a flute
Like a melody
Inspiring

I am a vessel
of thoughts
of love
of life
