Papal Transit

Transit Earth
Transit Sky
Transit everything that happens by

Noteworthy ones die by threes, take a look at supercilious seas...
...of unchecked loyalties, of the bleeding of mind, of heart and of soul
...And those high on the knowl... know?

Resplendent garb, bejeweled with gems, whatever gave us the impression, we were less than them?

Consider the onus, the scepter that be, the Kingdom and Popehood,

Control that will be.  a mindnumbing aside, for those lacking hide, lacking mental directness, cogent honesty aside, no fear of truth, no nothing to hide.

or consequences laid...
...lays out willing minds and hearts, on a primrose bed

or a plank to display a pope for the masses sorrowful dread

(Let the billion dollar tour business begin)

This line captured my thoughts I guess...

"Control that will be. a mindnumbing aside, for those lacking hide, lacking mental directness, cogent honesty aside, no fear of truth, no nothing to hide."

The man had personal integrity, and a genuine spiritual depth that obviously affected millions of people. We all must operate within our own frame of mind, and way of heart.

I applaude his intentions, and his integral honesty.

I think he was a good man at heart, admittedly with many views that I personally do not agree with... but with me ...honesty of intent and a truthful honest manner, means everything to me.

FrequentSeas.......My comment was not directed towards you. It was directed towards the comments that I had read that others left behind.... I agree that the Catholic Church is definitely profitting from his death......Over two million people viewing his body.........I personally disagree with the man being on display for almost a week.....and I also despise turning on the television and it is right in my face.
He surely has a legacy that he left behind.......but he also made decisions that were of his own personal belief.....as all of us do....I suppose.......
Hope you didn't misinterpret what I was saying........if so....
    my apologies........

I myself am not speaking harshly of the man himself (John Paul II), although I do have some opinions about his conservatism... I do not deny that he seemed to be an honest man, with a good and decent heart. That said... I feel he turned the Catholic church back in time, not forward, with his conservative, traditionalist, orthodox revitisism.

It is clear that he meant well, and that many appreciate and love his devout intent. I respect this.

However, he turned the clock back quite a bit (admittedly while doing other very good things), by refusing to move forward with some very important issues (equality for women, the notion that stem cell research is infanticide etc.) this said... I think he was essentially a good man, and I AM observing the parade, and profiteering that is occuring with his passing.

And THAT said... I believe each of us has the capacity to be a King, or Pope, or just a deeply worthwhile human being... it disturbs me, when people get so wound-up, so slickly hypnotized (brainwashed), or whatever, to suspend their own freedom of thought, views, opions, et all.

I meant no offense by this, towards this essentially decent man, or towards the Catholic Church.

I speak my mind. I am not a vicious or mean person, but I am blunt and honest.

    Peace to All

I have learned that we all need to respect each others opinions and views.........on everything........however.....there should be no bashing of a man that carried out what he felt he was appointed to do.......Whether we are Catholic, Jewish, Budda, Wiccan, etc........he offered what he could to all people, everywhere, with no discrimination.........
    A nicely penned piece..........

This is beautiful. Your rhythm is funky, and your rhyme is quirky, but it works very well. Unique style too and quite amusing. Good job.

    To SNOGGO:
Where you went wrong is when you brutally attacked a very holy man. Pope John Paul II was a great leader. I am not saying you have to agree with all his views, not even all Catholics do, however, you must admit he did much for the Church and for Christians everywhere. I do not believe it is right to critcize a man who devoted his life to God. We should not judge each other, especially such a holy man, for none of us is perfect.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned." Luke 6.37

I find it so fashionable to try and bring down christians on this site, i wasnt going to comment on this until i seen your comment. People are free to have their opinion but why try to walk over others in the process.

    I don't understand your comment.

    1) he was old
    2) he was Polish
    3) he was a silly goat who condemned millions of children to death because of his evil
    4) the Romans ARE making a killing out of the whole thing.

What did I do wrong apart from speaking the truth?

Quite amusing. The Romans should make a killing out that silly old Polish goat who cast an evil shadow over the world for too long.
