My son is an artist
I think it runs in our family
When I was little, I would make -
- Paper airplanes, and draw in their windows,
And doors, just in case someone wanted off
Colors are like sounds, when dishes crack
Or clouds roll they pull at secret lines
I have in common with the spider,
But the spider doesn't know me from Adam,
And thankfully that time I watched River Phoenix
And Ethan Hawke build a spaceship with
Their apple computer in Explorers only inspired
Me to build a three story tree house with a little
Brother powered elevator (He ran on Gatorade, and fun-dips)
I don't paint anymore, I'm a poet, but,
Occasionally I'll buy the inevitable -
- high powered rocket, and attempt
To send a hamster to Uranus
The kids are naturally asleep
When I conduct these
More advanced experiments.

Lol.. I love this one, Jeremi...it's so real, so 'guy' like.... and the last few lines are precious... I didn't see the movie you mentioned but you make mme feel like I have....hey, think I of all the theater ticket money I could save like this...Keep writing..I'll be a millionaire
Seiously, you did an excellent piece here Did your son paint the picture with this? If he did, I think you're right....he's an artist. On the other hand if it's your painting....well, okay, you're an artist, too

you know the explorers was a cool movie, maybe I am a dork, who know's, I never experimented like that, well I did, but I can't tell they'll kill me. River pheonix was a hotty, he was, I liked him in that other movie, not stand by me, buy my own private idaho, with keanu, funny I was gonna name my son keanu-river, or nico, but his father chose chase...by the way I met keanu got his autograph not to long ago, ew and river i'd love to dig up his grave, have him stuffed and put on my bed...
