When Laissez-faire became
Das Capital
The war of envy
Sold commercials for free

Created a crack whore
(The first hit is always free)
With black eyes and bleeding lips we stay, because…because…

Because…“He really loves me!”
“He didn’t really mean it!”
Oh, the handsome spider’s silk
A brilliantly evil cocoon

And the 'Formula for Elasticity'?

Feed the good dog
Keep your gifts clean
Give your life to keep it
Be where the love is

I'm afraid i can also get a little bit out of it
but what i get is that people stay with significant others because they feel there is no way out
am i far off on this?
i'm sure there's more to it i just can't see anything else right now.

i don't want to look too hard.

basically i do the best i can
i know it doesn't do justice

Excellent my friend. Incorruptibility is priceless. Can I get that on a bumper sticker?! I really would let my car wear it... Truth hurts sometimes, doesn't it? I think this is one of the best pieces about life I have read in a long while. The ending is perfect for this, there are always good reminders in your words

Incorruptibility is priceless, and costless, Indeed! Another great write. The middle part reminded me of the wizard of oz, the all powerful one behind the curtain, "because because" of the wonderful things he does!
Sigh, so easily are the sheep led to slaughter. The last two lines sum it all up perfectly...

Well, that's an interesting piece with strong feelings emanating the whole way through. Thought provoking.....especially the very last lines.
