Flowers Of Springtime

Flowering forsythia bushes beckon
Leaving the harshness of winter behind
Orange blossoms are waiting in the wings
With a fragrance to stir ones emotions
Evergreens no longer stand alone
Reaching to the warmth of the sky
Shadowing the queen anne's lace

On the meadow wildlife begins to scurry
Frolicking bunnies hide amongst the daisies

Scampering through the  tall wild grasses
Perfection is painted is all God's creations
Robins teach their fledglings to survive
Impressive are the rolling fields of clover
Nature's greenery had taken control
Greeting the season with a new canvas
Tulips of many colors erupt from the ground
Inching their way towards the warming sun
March goes out like a lamb in it's splendor
Exuding a beauty to cherish forever more.

Wow Sandy!! Flowers of Springtime. You know, it was 74 degrees today. yesterday's high was 44 and I was in shorts, today's high was even hotter, I felt like wearing Speedos lol j/k Anyways, it was just so hot and I hate the heat, need I remind you. But I reckon I'll survive somehow.. One way or the other anyways. I can't wait till the decide to turn on the AC's back again here. But until then, I'll just have to burn up cuz it's so hot now... oh well... This is New England, it can still snow up until May sometime... lol But anyways, I just love the imagery that you portrayed so vividly and amazingly Sandy!! It was beautiful and definitely captured my eyes I loved it!! You did an amazing job here!! I love you my friend!! God Bless You!!

This is oh so sweet. I didn't pay any attention to the way March came in or went out until I read this wonderful piece. It did go out like a lamb, and if I recall correctly is came in like a lion as well.
I adored this acrostic. You have done a splendid job with it.
Thank you so much for entering the contest.

Oh Sandy, Hun, You have done an excellent job of writing this. It is as beautiful as a spring painting! I love your choices of what is springtime and also adding in the animals. So many times nature poems are all just plants. Of course, it puts this over the top by adding the Lord. Wonderful job and Good Luck!! God Bless You My Friend, Penny

    Beautifully written -stunning!

    Sandygram,

This was very beautiful. Vivid imagery you painted in my mind. I loved everything about this. The way mother Robin's teach their young to fly and catch their own food. The sign of summer sure to come... with flowers blooming brightly. I cannot wait for that. Thanks for this and I wish you all the best in the contest.
