Why Did God Create Tears

As I sit here crying
facing all my fears,
I sit  here and wonder,
why God made tears..

Were they created,
to ease the pain,
or release sorrow,
to come back again

Why did God give,
so many tears to me,
I thought he took them,
when he forgave me.

But deep inside me,
my tears still flow,
they overwhelm me,
then I let them go.

God gave too many,
it's so hard to cope,
please dear Lord,
you're my only hope.

Take back some tears
that you gave to me,
for I cry so many,
I'm too blind to see.

My life has spanned ,
through many years,
so much sadness,
way too  many tears.

Why did you give me,
so many  tears to cry,
you gave me enough,
to last till I die.

    awww how sad! This is a really good poem, I love the way you used simplicity to impact more.
    I think tears are a way of releasing pain... my friend once wrote a song called "Cry If You Want To", your poem made me remember that song! God bless you, hope your tears are happier from now on... In Christ, Nat

    Yes tears are good to cry. Thank you Charles for all you do. I have cried many happy ones since I found sweet Jesus my beloved Lord and Savior. And since I met you, it has been wonderful to cry these happy tears. Your love and poems moved me to tears of joy, that is how I came to love you in my heart as a son. When I say I love you liks my other sons, I truly mean it. I love you for being the devoted Christian you are too. And a wonderful person whom God blessed me with by sending me to read your poems. Our friendship and love was built on God's love so it will last forever. I love You, Sandy

    Wow Sandy... You did an exceptionally awesome job on this!! You know, sometimes I wonder if tears are meant to be shed to give us a free swimming pool if we cry enough of them. Or if we can take a salty bath... No, I am just kidding. We all have tears, whether be tears of sorrow or tears of Joy. Even Jesus wept. So the subject you wrote about Sandy was very heart-felt and very warming. Why did God create tears?? Well, when we cry because we are over-joyed and excited cuz of the spirit of God, we are crying tears of joy and that is an act of worship. When we hurt, tears are shed to help release some pain and take away a lot of the heart-aches. It's an anger releasement. I am glad that I was able to be there for you that one day when I got to pray for you and help you out!! You were shedding tears with me on the phone and the Lord took those tears away... I love you Sandy and know that I am always here for you God Bless You!!

    WOW! Great write Sandy.... I loved it... and what a good question... Yet i feel we have them because we need them... If we could not cry... all of that stress would just build up... Loved it!!

    Actually, I enjoy crying when I'm alone. I hate the times when I feel I need to, but I can't. It is just the feeling of letting everything out. I really loved this poem. Sometimes we feel we must question God, but it's hard to remember that He knows everything, and in comparison we know next to nothing. Beautifully written. Pain, confusion, and somehow hope ever present. Impressive.

    This is very beautiful. I am glad God gave us tears. Sometimes a good cry can really help. God knew we would need our tears at times.
