That crescent smile
lights up
and foolish Alice
is drawn in.
She offers
her innocent heart
and brandishes trust
like a medal of honor.
That greedy cat
takes her gifts
and goes on
his merry way to
the Madhatter's tea party.
But foolish Alice
does not mind,
for what burns
in her eyes is that
lit-up crescent smile

Well done.
I thought this one was about Alice in Wonderland, and I have a crazy cat that grins like that. Just he has been around for so long that he just is part of the surroundings but this was so good and the story and this poem has deeper meanings. Very well done. -
