~Thursday~

Thursday,Thursday
subtle & free.
Bringing happiness
here to me.

Thursday,Thursday
I squeal with delight.
He is going to play
with me tonight.

Thursday,Thursday
I ache for the day.
Yearning to hold,
eager to play.

Thursday,Thursday
please hear my cry.
Come to me quick,
never say goodbye.

Hmm, I lovce Saturdays and you love Thursdays. Maybe with five days left we can find a night for us Nice cadence and beat with this, read smoothly and a touch of humour made it light and enjoyable. Gregg

I have a "friend" that I refer to as Thursday to some of my girl friends, so that no one else knows who I'm talking about but them. This poem really makes me think of him....
    IT's a really cute write....
    All the best!

Thursday is my high-vibe day, according to the astrologers. I usually feel good that day, despite whatever else might be going on in my life. And weekends used to be so fun when I was a kid, but now it seems that past Thursday there's nothing to look forward to. Oh, well...that's what I get for living in such a boring place. This is short but lyrical, and the rhyming gives a beat. Well done, dear!

    I absolutely adore this piece.

    Many blessings,

At the risk of sounding stupid I am assuming that this is a boyfriend or husband that you are going to "play" with? If I am right then I'd like to say that I understand this perfectly. Having two small children we sometimes have to schedule time for us. I love the line "yearning to hold, eager to play" There is so much emotion embedded into that single line. Wonderful write and good luck in my contest!

p.s. If i'm wrong and this isn't about a significant other: my apologies
