You came to me in 2001
Another blessing for me had just begun
Your kind words of encouragement gave me hope
Through you, God showed me a way to cope
With the day to day struggles I was going through
My angel in disguise is what I found in you
You're like a second father to me
In my heart you'll always be
Without you I wouldn't know what to do
I'm a better person just for knowing you
Thank you for everything you've done
My angel in disguise, my number one
Author notes
This poem is about my pastor. He is truly the most kind and gentle man I have ever met. He is honestly my angel in disguise.

What a lovely tribute to your pastor. I am glad that he is an 'angel' for you and will be there in times of need.
Your wording is lovely, this reads nicely. I enjoyed it.

BRAVO!!!! This is such a wonderful tribute to you pastor. I would like you to know though, even though he is your angel in disguise, you are also someone elses angel in disguise. From what I have read you sound like a very special, loving, kind human being and it would be an honor for me to know you. Thank you for sharing you wonderful words with all of us here on AP.

Awww it's beautiful, and i have never been to church, nor do i believe in god, but i can see that this is important to you - its lovey. The sentiment and kindness shown through the words is very appealing, your bond is self evident, congrats of a deep and stirring write.
