You’re a pin wearing
Abolitionist with absolute power
over words, over people, over human rights
Swear by the first amendment
Live to transcend the civil rights movement
You’re a scarf toting,
tulle adorned, beatnik into metaphysics
blasé, blotto, against blasphemy
Fighting for women’s rights
Under the discotheque lights
You’re a meditating
psychoanalyst, Freud’s remnants
Protesting prospects of future
conspiracies, clichés,
the body as a commodity
You’re a coquettish
Neogirl, bohemian rhapsody
in blue city, femme fatale
Who revels in the rebel
baroque, scattin’ mulatto
You’re a wild child
stand back take charge
feel the peace, seize the power
of the voice, the word
eyeliner serenade to the world
Author notes
Sooo this is one of my older pieces but I felt like putting it up. Even though as you can see this was written for Samantha (j'adore) but i must say my heart is with Jessica at the moment.
Tell me what you think.

this is Sooo good!
rebel revels (as well as velour valo{u}r) annoy me when put together like that, but you pulled it off!
i love the flow and the words. it sounds magical!

This reads really well. I enjoy the musical sound of the poem when read out loud.
