There's something I need to know
It's hard to just come out and say it

I know it sounds kinda childish
But love is a big step to take
I'm not about to rush right in
When it's my heart that's at stake
To me, love isn't just a word
It's more than that, you know?
It's not just something to say to be said
To get what you want and go
So before we say I love you
Ask yourself if your love is true
And if you really do mean you love me
Then I'll be able to love you too

*nods* Great poem. I know what you mean about saying that you love somebody. It's not something to just be said because you can say it or because you'll get something out of it. Loving someone can be hard, but pretending to love them is even harder. Awesome write.
