What I Would Say To Him?
Wanna cookie?
Wanna drink?
Or some M'n'M's?
Because, Lord, you need a time out
This is me
Taking it
Amidst your world, speeding things up to save time
Save time
Save time
And in that time saved what would they do?
This is what I did with my
"saved time"
Some time with you.
So can I get you anything?

very clever thanks for your comment on mine Very useful and another persons prospective -
I don't know about the m&m's, but I like the idea it gets across that you would simply ask what you could do for HIM. It is refreshing and spunky. Good Luck in the contest!

I don't believe for on moment that if Jesus was to come you offer Him m&m's...I don't think you took this contest serious.
Then on the other hand, you offer Him a break from His duties to take time for Himself. It is hard for me to figure out if this is heartfelt or amusing to you..

Thanks for commenting on "Love".
Your poem reminds me a little of leaving cookies and milk for Santa.
I think it is very interesting, except for the woman who bathed his feet, there are not many stories or any people beside you who have thought to do anything nice for Jesus. It's always what Jesus can do for me, not is there something I might do for him. Excellent idea and poem.

Wow! This was sure different. It is refreshing to see a poem that brings out the fact that Jesus does want to be a friend and spend time with us all. As for a sense of humor, of course He has one. We do and we are made in His image. I hope that you are as close to the Lord as this leads one to believe. God Bless, Penny

It is great to want to spend time with Christ. I am sure that he enjoys that as well. Christ is there to be a friend to us all and he will always be there when we call on him. I can't help but wonder now what His favorite cookie might be. This is different and definitely original.
Thank-you entering the contest and God Bless You! -
LOL, what a great poem, I really enjoyed it. Above all else, I think He has a sense of humour (I think His dad does too - otherwise, why do ducks laugh?) and I really love the idea of Hanging with Jesus - it could be a great sitcom. Very inspirational my dear.

amazing. not one of those "I love Jesus praise the lord hallelujah" stuff that I think only licenced angels should be legally allowed to say in a poem.
amazing. just amazing. it's actually inspiring me to write something like this. not cheesily inspirational, but treating the BIG guy as buddy-buddy. that's what i like about my relationship with God anyway. I don't call him anything-he's a friend. and yeah, he needs a time out.
Keep writing
