Om the stormiest days He will bring you peace,
sees you through all your worry and strife,
He will give you hope to carry on,
and bring peace once more to your life.
When nights seem endless and to much to bear,
and nothing you do seems to turn out right,
look to the Lord for peace and comfort,
get strength from His everlasting light.
As each new day dawns and you see His light,
thank God for each blessed new day,
He has blessed you with His grace and love,
tell Him thank you as you kneel and pray.
He is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
my King of Kings who died for me,
He hung upon that cross for all sinners,
as Jesus was crucified in Calvary.
Lord please let me live my life just for you,
so that my friends and family may see,
I have accepted Jesus Christ in my heart,
my Lord and Savior now lives inside of me
Today we celebrate your resurrection,
you brought hope and eternal life to me,
you never left my side for one moment,
even when I was too blind to see.
I will never again forsake you Jesus,
nor forget all you suffered in Calvary,
my heart now overflows with love for you,
because you forgave me so lovingly.
Author notes
This is my first Easter morning as a Christian. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart. He has blessed me so much the past 8 months. I thank Him everyday for coming into my life and heart. My life has just been filled with joy and happiness. Today is a wonderful day. My first Easter Sunday as a Christian. . God Bless you all.

A great poem that is uplifting. -
Amen is right, I wrote this early Easter morning. I felt so emotional and had to take time and write it. Thank you for your encouraging words, they mean alot to me especially when the poem is persomal and means alot to me. You are a true friend whom I love dearly. Our God allows me to open my heart to you. You bring out the best in me. It means alot to me what you think of me as a Christian and a poet.
I am starting to cry. I wish I wasn't so emotional. I treasure your omments. They are very special to me just like you my son. I willlove you for eternity. Sandy

Sandy, what a wonderful testimony you penned through this poem. What even makes it more exciting is that this is your first Easter as a Christian. From the poems that I have read of yours, I would have never guessed that. You seem mature in your walk with the Lord. I am very happy for you! ~vj -

Oh...Sandy! This is my favorite poem I have read of yours. All of your work is beautiful, however this one touches my heart the most because I know the meaning behind your words and your author notes really touched my heart.
God has done amazing things for you that is quite obvious to anyone who reads your wonderful words each day as you post them. You continually honor Him and express your love for Him therefor I am sure God will continue to bless you and your life.
I appreciate you Sandy, as I know many do here. Thanks for all of your concern and your heartfelt prayers for my family. I know God has heard them and he has answered.
