Where are you, my Prophet?
Under the crescent moon
I waited for you,
struggling to envision
every detail of your face.
Only in full moon's silver sheen
did you appear at last,
an apparition of perfection
surrounded by light,
illuminated by peace.
On dark moonless nights,
your serene face eludes me;
but your eyes, my Seer,
oh, how they burn before me;
day and night they scorch my soul!
Eyes that never leave my sight,
like orbs of heavenly fire,
they plead and summon me
to experience Truth's epiphany,
and cease my endless search.
Where are you, my Oracle?
The lark awaits your coming
that it may sing
and celebrate
the wholeness of the moon.

Your kind words are poetic in themselves. Coming from a master writer such as yourself, from One who "knows" and writes from the heart, your comment a gentle blessing that is greatly appreciated.

As always, I am blown away by the tenderess of this poem. I felt a piece of myself in each line, reflecting you as well. You will certainly understand that sentiment, dearest Silentium. A wonderful write!
