What is this world coming to?

Red, White, Blue
colors of a flag
still standing true.

We the people,
As the people,
sit in wonder
watching the world
slowly but surly going under,
crumbling down.
Its happening at this moment
its happening right now.
No where to run,
No where to hide,
No way out,
the end is close by.

Freedom of speech.
One nation under God
then why such a big debate over
what we can and can not say.

Peace on earth.
Does this really exist?
Have we even experienced
such a place as this.

We shall not kill.
Live by his words,
We shall be saved.
Does not mean a thing to this world today.

War, innocent lost,
It just doesn't ever end.
What ever happened
too if we can't get along
then go our separate ways?

Drugs taken over our nation,
Feeding medication to our next generation.

Kids killing kids,
People taking out their next to kin.

None of this makes to much since,
Are we all just to blind,
or do we just not care.

We the people,
As the people.
Are to blame,
We can stand together,
change it for the better,
or let it go as is.
Either way
it determines the outcome

of how our children and grandchildren will live,
 we hold their future in our hands!
