hello, just stopping by to read and comment on at leach poem that I can, this is an awesome write, I like the concept seems
almost original..very nicely detailed, formed nice and great subject.thank you for sharing..Linda -
R.S, first off, let me extend my warmest thanks to you for the thoughtful and inspiring comment you have made. It gives me great pleasure, and humility, to hear such words, while also giving incentive to continue to write such things.
As for whether I've written more, if you refer to this particular series, the answer is no. I feel this series is complete, in and of itself. That being said, most of what I write is similar in nature, speaking of the peace within which is available to us all if we but seek for it. I have posted here on AP all the "new" stuff which I have written this year.
My dream politician does exist, although I have yet to find him or her. lol. I will add that in our previous presidential election here in the states, I supported Congressman Dennis Kucinich from the state of Ohio in his bid to become our president. He has a website available if you are interested in reading some about him. For the first time in my life of 43 years, this man inspired me to volunteer my time in helping his campaign, which I did. He speaks of peace not as something that is idealistic, but rather as that which can only come from our own actions and deeds. He has proposed here in the U.S. a cabinet level department of peace, from which we could begin fostering a non-violent approach to solving the worlds problems. As are many visionaries, he was marginalized by the media and his opponents as being too "extreme" in his views, thereby keeping his campaign on the backburner of public awareness. Yet he still captured enough of the vote in several states to gain notice, and hopefully his message will begin to catch on as we once again view how the actions of deceit and hate-mongering will always fall like a house of cards, such as in the current administration here in the states is now experiencing.
The lakes of Minnesota are wondrous places for me, and I spend as much time on them as I can, allowing for still be available for my wife and our children in the carrying out of our daily task of living. But these lakes call to me, and I simply must visit them for the stillness and calm they provide.
As for navigating AP, keep experimenting. There are a great many poets here who are outstanding and unique, and I will be happy to provide their names to you if interested.
Once again, thank you, and I look forward to the budding of our new friendship!

inspiring, easy to read and well written
This is so much said, in so few words. It reminds me of Jesus saying "do unto others as I do unto you," and it is full of peace. What a pity that our world cannot be like this all the time. They say you have to experience bad to know good. I'll never be sure about that.
"Watuwant?" I wanna be there on that lake, fishing in that boat, you lucky man. Wordsworth liked being on the lake too. I wanna to be a freelance whatever, but I don't know how to do that. Sounds like the pinnacle of peaceful freedom.
I do not know if your dream politician exists. I hope so. I am in Australia and I do not think either country has that dream at the moment. This particularly in the issue of peace.
I notice these poems in this series are months old. Have you written any more? I need to learn to navigate around this AP which I find very worthwhile.
I thought all your poems are very illuminating, positive and peaceful -
Thank you, Mystical. This "theory" is a particular favorite of mine, and I'm glad you enjoy it.

You are a memorable writer indeed... truly aw
This is truly a memorable piece an outstanding conception and an inspirational solace
Brava!! I see you fish also... life is like a fisherman's journey as well
Journey well; long; and in peace my friend

Very glad you enjoyed this, and I must admit that this series is one of my all time personal favorites.
As for the political stuff, I too shy away from the negativity that seems to permeate our culture. Left, right, both sides are guilty of this. Reminds me much of how the Roman Senat helped bring about the downfall of the Roman Empire, centuries ago. Not that I think the U.S. will fall, but one never knows, as history has shown us.
I look forward to a politician that will transcend all this nonsense, reuniting both "sides" and truly working toward a unified country, rather than what we have now. Hopefully this person will come soon.
Good to meet you as well, and undoubtedly we'll be talking again!

very good
Hey Doug, this is another pensive write , more interesting then the over used rhetorical words (re often hear or read), it has sustenance and this should be an example for all to heed. What more is there to say, your complete idea or premise for this is absolutely correct.
The kool-aide jingle was nothing more then poking fun nothing else. I wrote it at work in a couple minutes while listening to Sean Hannity and sent to my brother in draft form and posted it in draft form. I never even proof read it. I guess you can tell…lol
As to liberal or conservative well, the belief in one idea or the other I respect, when it come to mean spirited vitriol I loose respect for whoever is talking, right or left.
What I also detest is peole taking away my right to make up my own mind forcing me to accept their points of view without regard to my own feelings.
This sort of thing is what my philosophy professor called neo-conservatives. Gee, how the world has changed because I believed him and his cause back then. So I decided to fight against that sort of stuff and became conservative.
Thanks, for you comments Doug. Its nice to meet you and hope to talk about life, politics and poetry.
Image and Visions … Dare not only to dream, but do that of what others only dream of.

Thank you, Sharon. Truly, I am humbled when others find these as moving as I did when I wrote it. Please, no worries about the applause, as such things seldom enter my consciousness. Hearing that you enjoyed is all the applause that is needed.

My goodness, I don't know how I missed this comment before now, but miss it I did. First off, thank you much for reading these. Secondly, it seems that more and more of us today are waking up to truths long buried in a misty maze. Glad to hear you've enjoyed this series!

AWESOME!!!
This is deep... and very meaningful... and, well, it's a bit like a peep into my own mind in a way. This is more or less how I feel about existence, only you have managed to put it into words so eloquently!
I haven't commented on each part individually, because I was so into it, I just had to move on to the next piece.
On your author page, you put your favourite poem as Desiderata - this is one of my favourites too! I have it here next to me, on my wall.
It's just so good to read something like you have written here, brilliant work!
Thanks for your comments too.

Thank you, Kim. This entire series is one of my personal favorites, and it is always a pleasure to hear that others enjoy them as well. Most of my writes seem to hold this same theme in them.

Such a very different write and interpretation on here. The underlying Eden brought through your words and two brothers is quite a representation of topic that often doesn't get the right kind of image on here. I think you conveyed the topic with great care and wove your words perfectly.
Nicely done. Very different. Many teachings and "right ways" to be found in such poetry.

Well, I stand humbled by your words, and quite exhilirated as well in finding others who "see". Seems like more and more of us today are awakening to these long hidden truths within.
This series has been in the works for years, in my brain, and then finally in January they just came out. I Am always stunned when these words come like this, almost of their own volition.
Thank you much for taking the time to read and appreciate these.

Wow. Having just finished this series I am humbled to have read it. At first glance I questioned why you had made each stand alone, but the power and the inspiration...
It would have been lost to many readers if these works were one piece. I can spot another those who know "I Am" in a glance as well as those who pretend. But your work...
You are a prophet, a teacher. Marvelous -
Stella, thanks. Glad you enjoyed and that you took the time to read these.

Ah yes. The gold capstone on the pyramid, the walk beyond the clouds. Nicely written. A very long journey and yet not long at all. We've just opened our eyes. We are back to 'one' in a sense but this one is different from the first is it not. This one we arrive with purpose and in FULL consciousness, with a trail of experience blowing in the solar wind like a giant banner. If you could see it, it would look like a rainbow. The dream becomes reality in 4D. This is the threshold where humanity now dwells. Beautiful.
I look forward to more journeys, Thanks for this, Chalice.

Truly a wonderful addition to your series.

My wife said the same thing, thus I am not sure if this is part of the series. It does belong in this collection, however, but the 1st 6 stand on their own. Perhaps this begets the sequel!
Thanks for coming by.

I still think I like Part 6 the best, but this is a more "unified" summing-it-all-up-ending, if you will. Filled with promise of What Will Be. A very beautiful picture you've painted. "Now life is eternal..." Mmm...inspiring. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. I agree with too weird for him: 50 gold trophies are the just deserts for these poems! Most humbly, I applaud you and truly thank you for sharing this with the world. Unbelievable work you've done here. God bless, Sim.
