The rain falls hard here
This place inside my mind
The voice is growing stronger
But I still can’t hear its words
Lightning breaks the sky
A new world
For just a moment
Change never stays
It’s always raining
Never a day of sun
Maybe I made this prison
Perhaps I could make it go away
This box within many boxes
How do I start to break free?
With all these steps I falter
My sword seems to have lost its edge
I swear that this is not contagious
But I cannot be contained
Even when I scream I’m silent
The rain won’t wash away my pain
