Sherry
Sometimes we meet a special person
Who makes us realize our worth
Just by her simple love shared
A hug, a word, and her special mirth
Such a fine lady is my friend Sherry
No matter the time, the day or the hour
Or how she may feel on a bad day
She manages to make me feel her power
She takes the time to see the good in me
To help build on my own strengths each day
I’ve seen her love, her need to help
Those she meets along the way
No truer friend I think I’ll ever find
With a heart as pure as an angel’s love
I’ve seen her go way out of her way
To aid a friend in need, to fly like a dove
Trusting and beautiful in her unselfishness
With the Lord at her side she’ll be there
Kind words and a helping hand
Her love and kindness for all to share
Sherry does all this and more for sure
She’s made me love her, to see her glory
One fine lady, her spirit and love abounds
There’s far too much for this short story
So suffice to say, she’s filled with love
For each of us, she’s one of a kind
I’m glad she’s my friend in every way
No truer friend I’ll ever find

Yes, Keda, I thought of her visit with you when I wrote this, along with all her kindness towards me and so many others on allpoetry. She has truly touched our hearts and I know she was especially helpful to you when she visited.
By the way, Granny Goose and I are one and the same I started the Granny Goose logon when I started the Children's column on AllWrite. Sherry knows this and is one of Granny Goose's most faithful followers.

Catz and Granny Goose you know OUR Sherry very well,indeed! Every word written here is solid and true. I'm 1 of the few who has had the opportunity for spending time with Sherry. She Blessed Our Home by visiting the great prairie a couple summers ago.(She boldly got on the bus and traveled north to the unknown)! We loved every moment we shared with her. We think, she found a lot of things about the ranch and prairie that she really liked,too! BBeautiful combine effort, ladies! You're the BEST! What a beautiful picture of the angel and string of pearls! -

Oh Grandma Dee, This is really beautiful gosh I didn't expect it at all, thank you you said such worthy qualities about me and you see things my meaning I often fail to see yet yearn in my heart to know and have more of... (thank you) I sometimes don't feel loving enough of filled with enough of the beauty of Christ.
