Queens of the Sea

Reckless, waves bash against themselves
in attempt to keep the fading storm alive
a dull fog crawls atop the black waters
which are slowly deforming with the sun's awakening.
Gliding with ease, a sturdy ship sails
the Dark Dragon, it's emblem brightened with daylight

Pirates, they boldly call themselves
five queens of freedom and adventure
Led by Captain Rose Lahvi
their salt-seared hearts floating....in search of love and gold.

Author notes

This is the first of a series...The Dark Dragon series....It will be about the five women pirates and their adventures...Their search for gold, and their search for love....I don't know how many will be in the series...It may be 20, or 1000...We'll see. Enjoy.

Always enjoy a good pirate poem and thought this one had quite an exciting flavour. Look forward to seeing how you finish the series. Just remember the nemsis of pirates: " They win or they die"

It is as if she came in from the bog.

Very Descriptive and to the point. I felt as if the poem was very rigid. I felt that this added greatly to it. Pen on

A female pirate, exellent!!! I'm a female biker and think that all the exciting things in life shouldn't be left just for the men.
I love the way the waves bash against themselves, it brings the storm to life. Your dark dragon series sounds awesome and I'll be wanting to check it out.
It's about time someone wrote about women pirates, great idea.
