The Valley

I'm at rock bottom
I lost my self-confidence, or was it ever there?
I've been searching, yearning for acceptance
I've made a fool of myself, again
In desperate measures, I search for love
My quirks drive me mad
I need love, I need a friend
I sometimes feel empty, rejected, alone
I'm at the end of my rope in terms of happiness
It's now, when my hope is frail, and tears well in my eyes, that I turn to You, my unseen King
Please, please love me!
Be my hero, be my best friend
Hold me close when I cry
Please
I know I'm undeserving, so selfish and sinful
But, I need you, You are what my heart seeks
Please, be my life.

I know how this feels. That lacking in self-confidence - it threatens to destablise everything else you know and live. Thanks for sharing. Tony.
