Twisted Thoughts

Twirling as i lie,
dreaming will i die,
killing my soul,
pass me by.

Shattered hopes are spilled,
gaping holes not filled,
where in my mind,
will i find

Jack and jill went up the hill,
daddy bought me a motor car,
and on that farm he had some sheep,
twinkle twinkle little star.

Silence turns to sound,
spinning round and round,
running together,
fantasy,

Innocence long gone,
singing this my song,
full of hate,
go away.

please leave me alone,
please leave my home,
please get the hell
away.

will i ever see,
what was meant for me,
instead of your pain,
your drudgery,

buckle my shoe,
say the bells of st. clement's,
hush a bye baby, up in the sky,
the one i love best,

why do you do this to me,
why do you never see,
what this all could mean,
why leave it unseen,

don't you hear the axe head falling,
don't you hear the angels calling,
don't you see the sky crashing down,
don't you see the blood-soaked ground?

falling from above,
a broken-winged dove,
surrendering all
to your fate,

darkness surrounds,
my head it pounds,
on my bed
i cry to sleep,

it never will leave,
this card up my sleeve,
of hurt, of anger,
of misery.

somebody,
someone listening,
free me from
the tragedy.

Twirling as i lie,
dreaming will i die,
killing my soul,
pass me by.

This is really great. I read it right after you wrote it but I wasn't really in the mood for commenting. Nursery Rhymes are really great for twisting around if you're good with rhymes. It's kinda creepy. good job with it though.

Wow leah is right with this, it is full of power. I really enjoyed it and it flowed quiet fast, picking up speed stanza by stanza.. Could read well with like a racing heartbeat. I really like it. great job.

Wow Brandon! This is so sad. My favorite stanza out of this entire piece was:
don't you hear the axe head falling,
don't you hear the angels calling,
don't you see the sky crashing down,
don't you see the blood-soaked ground?
I felt it held the most power of this poem. Grand job.

    I heart you!
    Leah
