I wished as hard as I could,
at 11:11 every night.
More than just a floating wish;
it was solid, forced through the air.
I wished as hard as I could,
still a chance it could come true.
It is silly, I know,
But maybe if I wish just a little harder…
Author notes
The structure is odd and the last two lines don't seem to fit with the rest of the poem, but I like them so I'm not sure how to fix it. All suggestions welcome.

I didn't understand at first because I didn't think about wishing at 11:11, or know about it at first, but that was a good concept for a poem. The superstition, and the hope. It's something that makes me wonder. I think the last two lines are a little off, but I don't think I'd know how to change it either. Just because something is off doesn't mean that it needs to be changed.

I think the first stanza just... works. I like it... maybe because it's so real. It's something that'll stick in your mind.
