Think Spring

The crocus will soon peek through the snow,
the sound of geese will be heard in the sky,
the red breasted robin will build her nest,
as we  start to bid Old Man Winter goodbye.

The icicles no longer dangle from the roof,
daylight hours are getting longer each day,
time to clean all the grim off the windows,
and time to chase your cabin fever away.

Soon the park will be filled with laughter,
kites and Frisbees will be flying in the air,
young lovers will be walking hand in hand,
there will be children playing everywhere.

Mother Nature will bring back all the color,
God has created on His worldwide tapestry,
the butterflies will  show off their beauty,
song birds will all sing in sweet harmony.

But for now I can only look out the window,
and only vision nature's beauty in my mind,
and wait for the first sign of springtime,
then I can leave Old Man Winter behind.
