Tick; Tock
The melodious, rhythmic constancy floats into my ears soothing my worries of the day
And brings me to silent, still thoughts of you and your constancy alike
Resizing my focus to the proceedings outside of my negligible world
Of which I become so preoccupied inside
While monotonous and redundant to some, this holds to me some deeper meaning
The proclamation of the coming of change, carried by a seemingly invariable object
This in itself holds some beauty as it brings me thoughts of yours
Life rests on the threads of time, while you hold time in your hands
Author notes
"Ashleigh loves Steven"
not satisfied with the title of this poem but i suppose it will do, or i may change it if icome up with something better.
