Love or whatever you call it

I love you because there is no other way to feel this way,
To feel the giddiness of our kiss or the submission of your touch,
nothing's ever enough because I can't let it...it's impossible to,
I can't pretend that I'm not in love with you!
But other people don't call it that, they call it lust and infatuation,
Young and stupid chasing of the opposite sex,
they can't see what we see in each others eyes and in each other's love,
They do not see our stinging passion and we chose to ignore thier ignorance,
we'll be ok without them if they can only doubt us...
I made a mistake, you made a mistake, we'll be ok....

I liked this. When you feel like that you know it has to be love, what else could it be? Very sweet and innocent, I enjoyed this

A great poem. No of us will love as totally as we do in our youth. Your not scared of getting hurt yet. you don't have the baggage relationships give you. The down side is no one will ever hurt you as much as that first love. Good luck!

very true and unfortunately I've suffered a couple of times because of it. Yah know, being ignorant to whatever my mom said about the guy.
thank you for commenting I appreciate the applause.

    Excellent

It's amazing how many young people (Well, I'm a young person too...but looking over that fact) these days chase what they think is 'love.' And 99% of the time, it ends in them hurting themselves...Very thoughtful poem. Great job!
