To Billie Jean, From A Dreamcatcher

Missing image
by ~Gregg Rowe~

Remember a poet who was in chains:
A mother of five, she is free at last --
Metamorphosed she has become unchained,
Serenity confronts her darkened past.

As angel flower pens scents of a room --
And Jackie speaks of a rising Phoenix;
A poet blue sends words to hit her womb --
Her darkened abyss, resembles of Nyx.

And poems blue -- plumed by Mimiagatha --
Left me in awe, reading by candlelight.
Unchained speaketh -- is my Hiawatha:
Where we both learn -- about the right to live.

A twenty-first century lady beams:
“I reign Supreme as every mans’ wet dream!”

there is none like her, there is none more powerful than her friendship, she is your friend thus i am your friend. so many similarities between you two, so many battle wounds you two carry and the road is still winding ahead. i wish you strength my friend in your battles....

What can I say about this wonderful person you have written such a lovely piece about. Billie is certainly one in a million. She has been there for me when I thought I had nobody and I always came away from our chats feeling better. I'm glad that you have became friends. Jacki

    Dear Gregg,
I applaud your use of mixed iambic meter (most lines in quadrameter with occasional pentameter interjections.) You will have received my mixed French Sonnet "To my Friends"
which I sent to you as a preview so you will know that I too am employing mixed meters and you need therefore fear no criticism from me on this account.
What a beautiful woman is SerenityUnchained!! I could easily fall in love with her if my heart wasn't already taken by 40 others! I hope she had a smashing birthday.
And I hope you did too Buddy! Did th pain ease off some?
    Best wishes as always, Hugh.

Having had my heart touched by this beautiful woman, this poem touched me. You have done a wonderful job of writing this tribute to a woman that deserves it more then many I know. She is a beautiful person, and so are you for having written something so beautiful

Billie Jean: Thank you for all the work you have done (and continue to do) with the contest held for my birthday. Just a little poem for your birthday since I am poor in monetary value, and the poems quoted and intertexualized into this poem really affected me after I read them, the hardest was who to include in a fourteen-line sonnet without going overboard and drowning it in just references. The three poems listed were the most profound reads for me in one poetry site. Glad you enjoyed it. Gregg

I think, perhaps, another term you could use in place of "Nyx" would be "Styx," the river, according to Dante, across which the souls of the dead are ferried. This is merely an idea, particularly since it would lie in the same line with the phrase, "Her darkened abyss."

While "live" and "candlelight" might rhyme loosely under certain circumstances, it doesn't in this context. I'm sure you are already well-aware of this; just bringing it up anyway 'cause I don't like letting things I notice slip by lol.

Other than that, this was a remarkable piece; I don't know much about Billie Jean, other than that she's entered a two or three of my contests. Regardless, though, I'm sure she will love this the moment she sees and reads it.

    I love you.

~Billie Jean~ shines as a newborn flower to spring. Soft flaxen hair cascades in grace
Down her shinning white silken face. Such bright eyes i see in her heart and soul.
Soft blue eyes and strawberry hair in a glance that is beyond compare.
Oh, i love your lady and I know her name is “Billie Jean”. I can see she has Angel Eyes,
She inspires the goodness in all you see and meet on your concert streets.
    Oh sweet “Billie Jean”
I love these last two lines they reach deep inside of me.
    “A twenty-first century lady beams”
“I reign Supreme as every mans’ wet dream!”
Anything Gregg Rowe, Penn’s in my humble opinion is the eighth wonder of the world. All the best to you and your eternally. May love be with you always. ~Master Greg~ anything you pen arrives from the shores of heaven. Billie Jean is showing in her goddess language she is so beautiful charming and erotic. ~I love your tribute to a lady “who was once in chains.”
