I would not be able to pick a favorite painting by Thomas Kinkade, they all give me the same sense of peace but a yearning also, if that makes sense. I would live in his paintings if I could.

    Dear Maureen,

I saw a lot of Thomas Kincade's art in a gallery in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I wanted to buy the whole lot! I can see why you love his work. You have chosen a wonderful artist. God bless you.

    Hugs and love,
    Petratani xo

      Dear Petra,

Thank you for commenting on this poem. Thomas Kinkade is an amazing painter and is also a very good person! Every year I buy one of his calendars and I have several Thomas Kinkade puzzles I've put together. I have a beautiful book that was given to me by a friend which contains some of his most beautiful paintings and quotes from great authors. It is one of my most prized possessions!

      Love and hugs,
      Maureen

There is actually a couple paintings by him in my house. My mom bought special gallery dimming lights just for it so she could do the "sunrise-sunset" effect the painting has when lights hit it at various brightnesses.
The poem was short yet it captured the pure joy you get from his paintings. This was a great ode to a great painter.

I saw the name Kincade and had to come in see what you had to say. You said it all in just a few short lines. His work is awesome. I have not found a piece of his art that I do not like. He puts so much into his paintings, by way of real to life paintings that just evoke so many feelings in you. Some even give you a nostalgic feel as you feel like you've stepped back into time and are standing in the light of one of the streetlamps he's painted. He is an amazing artist.

I love the postcards, Sis. His paintings are expensive (I checked). I wish I could open a gallery and sell his paintings (but there already are several stores in my area selling them). Paddy got me a beautiful Thomas Kinkade calendar. The pic' I used with this poem is this month's picture on the calendar. Thank you for the poem you wrote for me, Ann and Wanda, Sis. You're such a good friend.

    Love you!

oh,my how wonderful.you wrote to this picture like you were the painter and you knew it stroke by stroke.the form suits it as well.i learned about kinkade from my granddaughter who said about the painting,"you can't say one thing about it,it leaves you speechless."out of the mouths of babes, but she is right, both the picture and the words leave you speechless.

    Wonderful

I've never seen this style of poetry before. I love how you have expressed so much in such a few words. I've never heart of Thomas Kinkade either, but this painting is really quite beautiful so I will be looking into his work too. Thank you for introducing me to two new things tonight. Luv Niky x
