Pause the clock, let the world stop
allowing our past to catch up,
before going one more second
into the future.
Would not stop long, the past,
dragged along generation after generation,
faster than the last, problems left behind
getting worse, ignorance, bigotry, hatred,
degenerate companions.
Passing the past, one generation to the next
to resolve, solicits undesired passion,
impossible, never happens, too busy,
creating new problems, which will be
ignored and added.
Plans drawn never finished, appease none,
stress factors exceed acceptable tolerance,
the past doomed to tumble under the weight,
of a neglected, troubled society.
Stop the world, let our past, pass into our future,
disregard prophetic, probably true, no future,
with an unresolved past.

Inspired by current events of a troubled world where inequality, oppression, and persecution, pass from one generation to the next and are never resolved. The consequences of inaction are evident and obvious.

Excellent
This was great. Milly and I have done alot of genealogy research and we have been astounded how many families will inter-marry two or three generations back without anyone realising, almost as though God is trying to have them go through the cycle again to heal it and get it right this time. I have found that it was only in understanding generations past, that I was able to realise what is behind my family, (what the bible talks about as strongholds and high places in one's life). Having had to deal with those issues has been one of the most horrific times of my life, and yet also the most rewarding and healing, and I know that I have come out stronger in the end result. Thank you for this, for as I see it, it is only if you deal with what is behind your life, that the future generations will be able to escape from them and it not be passed down.
