I lay here,
In all my sin.
Knowing in my heart,
I’ll never be good enough for him.
He’s everything I'm not.
I’m everything he dares never to be.
A soul can’t always be bought.
An angel never flees.
Through all this you stay by my side,
Even knowing the darkness that resides.
In you I may always confide.
The passion we share is your greatest fear.
A black cat, white dove.
Nothing works like in dreams.
Though you look to heaven above.
My soul still can’t be redeemed.
I’m the one you’ll never save.
I can’t do what’s right.
My paths already been paved.
The darkness always shuts out the light.

A very emotional poem deeply sad a kind of very raw reality expressed here. The end left me with a sens of desperation and impossibility to reach for something happier. A nice write with some very strong lines.

Oh I so love this piece....it's unbelieveable! I love the way you bring forth the truth of the opposites and how they can never change. And yet at the sametime the opposites attract. So in love and yet a love that will never work for neither one can be anything like the other yet they balance one another. I truly love this write.....the flow, the choice of words, the theme, the subject, the contents....just everything is awesome.
