The body is one unit of many parts
together forming a body of one to see,
it's with Christ, we were baptized,
by the spirit in one body slave or free.
If the foot said I am not a hand,
to this body I no longer belong ,
it won't cease to be a body part,
to think it wasn't would be wrong.
If the ear said I am not an eye,
I don't belong to this body too,
for that reason it would not,
cease to be a part of you.
If the whole body was an eye,
where would our hearing be,
if our whole body was an ear,
how would we smell or see
God arranged the body parts,
where He wanted them to be,
as it is there are many parts,
but God made only one body.

Wow, this gave me chills when I read it and saw how much it was like the message I was getting across. Very well done...so many people don't understand about us being one.

I love this passage! I like how you make it seem more understandable with several examples. The first stanza is my favorite. Wonderful. I have to get to a math class
now. Keep writing.

I love this section of the bible. It's one of my favorite ideas, because it teaches that everybody is important and useful in God's eyes. Everybody is also essential, giving to the whole a small part, and yet without that part the whole cannot function. Excellent.
Be Blessed
Your Brother In Christ Jesus

Paul's advise to the church members to remain united was sound counsel then and even more so today in a world where Epicureanism and self love is so prevalent. Well worded verses and the theology seems to stay in track. A difficult challenge well met!

Hi Mary, it was nice to hear from you. I am so glad you and Andy are doing fine. God is blessing you two. Thank you for the warm and lovely comment. I always love reading them. Peace and love through Jesus Christ to both of you. Take care, Sandy

Hi Robin, Thank you for the comment. I appreciate you reading my poem even though we believe differently. I respect everyones beliefs or non beliefs. I truly believe my soul will be in Heaven by the time the worms get to my body of flesh left here on earth. Uhg! don't even like touching them when I fish.
It was nice hearing you. Take care, Sandy

Interesting Sandy.
I wonder what we'll think when we both die, and we're faced with worms and maggots?
