I take your hand with no regrets.
I look into the future with bright hopes and shining dreams.
As I walk down the aisle towards your smiling face
I can only giggle with excitement.
Today is the day I have been waiting for all my life.
A simple thing a name is, connects you to your past.
Today I change my name and acquire a new past and un-
touched future.
All dressed-up in our best, hoping that it is all worth it.
Excited by knowing that i will soon be with the man I love
As we finally become one.
This is the moment when time stands still, the moment that
Makes all the horrible past events disappear.
Not only was it worth the wait, but it was also worth all the heart-
break it took to find you...the man I love.
You now own my heart, take good care of it.
I will take care of yours, no knife will touch it, no arrow will
pierce it.
To have, To Hold for as long as our souls are together I will
Always love you.

I actually wrote this for my mothers marriage a year or so ago, it's one of my most treasured poems.
