Deicide

Deicide

Wild and crazy-eyed merovingian Jesus,
Teaching his lessons, for lessons appease us.
Preaching unbearable parable heresies
Teach word of God to the hypocrite pharisees,
Who seek the messiah to nail him on high;
Suspend, make an icon; iconoclast lie.

Brutal and beautiful, blood spattered, bare
Angry crowd jeering, disciple despair.
The crux of all history, Golgotha the spark,
To bring the known world screaming in from the dark.
Grant to the madman the martyr's demise,
And all the known world lends an ear to his lies.

While he is dying, three times your denial,
The morning cock crows, your great sin to revile.
As there sun rises, the Judas-tree weeps,
As blood from the brow of the god slowly seeps.
Wine-tears of the saviour, who was thrice thus denied
Crimson, the flood from the wound in his side.

"Father forgie them, for they know not their sins."
The messiah proclaims as the fading begins.
With one final shudder, he gives up the Ghost
And the skies rain laments of a heavenly host.
"And whither is god?" The light growing dim,
"I will tell you;" The crowd says, "We have killed him!"

This was inspired by a bit from Friedrich Nietzche about a 'madman.' I was also studying medieval church history and watching the matrix movies at the time. If you're wondering where I got all the christian imagery from; I've read the bible front to back twice. Not a book for me. Great reading though Thanks.
