I can feel the warmth of the new day emerging,
as the sun gives in to its’ morning workout,
slowly reaching up high to lick at the skies.
I take sight to the cracking diamond-studded night
when the twilight slowly treads back in doubt,
giving way to the day, not willing to defy.
Soon I taste the sweet dew of morning.
after being carried in by a gentle breeze,
it softly hints of the day soon to come.
Now the smell of the crisp and salty air lingers
once stolen by the wind from the rough seas
now made calm to be let free before the sun.
Getting louder are sounds of all life returning
as they come awake in the coming wake of dawn
with a yawn they stretch out, much like the sun
as it did when first woke, giving light to the day.

very good
the sun's morning workout - that's clever!
"diamond studded night" is good, too and I like that you included the ocean in the fourth stanza -
it is of a nature's glory!!!! a reflection of how gloroius a supreme being is...
