One day God came to talk with me,
He said may I sit with you a while,
you look like you could use a friend,
it's been awhile since I saw smile.
His loving voice calmed me down,
as He wrapped his arms around me,
as my tears rolled down my cheeks,
Jesus held out His hands to me.
He said give me all your burdens,
I shall dry up all of your tears
I am here to give you comfort,
let me take away all your fears.
Jesus said I've waited a long time,
just to hear you call out my name,
and to hear you ask for forgiveness,
and to give me your sins and shame.
Your new life with me begins today,
as you accept me into your heart,
let the Holy Spirit fill your body,
as your glorious Salvation starts.
Jesus said welcome to God's family,
come cleanse your soul and mind,
live a new life of righteousness,
leave all of the wickedness behind.
Author notes
I feel so full of the Holy Spirit today, I was thinking of last July 16, the day I was saved. It was a glorious day. My life is so full of love for Jesus now. My life is wonderful. God Bless all my friends who have encouraged me and helped me be a better Christian.

This is such a beautiful poem. I am over whelmed each and every time I read of how you gave your life to God. There is nothing better than reading and hearing of a life saved by Jesus Christ.
