distraught and in disbelief
pain filling from within my heart
the feeling of my stomach dropping
the sudden rush
of the blood leaving my face
draining from me
sitting in shock
not wanting to believe
what is the truth
knowing i'm the reason
eats the inside of me away
i struggle to fight off tears
feeling dizzy and disconnected
i regain my composure
and attempt to be strong
hold you in my arms
so glad you're still here
and that you didn't depart
