Confection of Colour.

Filtered light... dapples pebbles
beneath the surface of turquoise
seas... foaming and dancing,
flowing and ebbing...
Racing skies chase fragmented
clouds.... streaking blue with white....
horizons... shifting and shimmering
in heat haze of violets and mauve
burnt sienna and ochre colour the
landscape...lifted by splashes of
bougainvillea's brilliance and
bird of Paradise...waving and bowing
proudly....whitewashed stucco highlights
cobbles and inclines...dotted midst
orange and lemon trees..... walnut
complexions and smiles add to the
ambiance....panniers balanced
loaded for the long climb back up
the mountain by the sure footed
beast...to the homes carved from the
rock...cool and inviting sangria..to
revive the weary...paella aroma
invades the senses...whilst intense
emotions rage with the flamenco
dancers swirling and stomping in
frantic tempo..proud in their
heritage.................

    Beautiful

    Can I go too?
Sounds like a loverly place to be.
Of course, if it's on this plane of existance, there's a snake somewhere.
Under the shimmering white sand is coral to cut the unwary feet.
    Sigh
    Nice to dream anyway.
Oh, by the way, I like it.
    Be well;
    Zaffen

You have woven an abundance of wonderful color into this piece of tapestry. I think you covered them all, lol. I love bougainvilleas and their unique pink color. It sounds like you are planning or coming from Mexico or Spain. Excellent job on painting the scenery in this piece.

Ooooh.. very, very different. I can't exactly place my finger on the entire meaning but I think I understand enough to say that it is an effective piece. Your colorful descriptions were nice, and I loved the last few lines about the flamencoe dancers.
