I shall continue to see of you
-with clouded eyes
Visions neither pure nor true
are all I have of what I knew
as life- not death's arise

Your last wills upon this earth
-though strife
are followed through with joy and mirth,
as I await my soon rebirth,
abandoning this life

For when we meet each others' stare
-though cold
We'll talk of all our lives offer,
together- not alone, we bear
this cross untold

The wood will lighten with the spring
-when faces thaw
once pierced, my finger, now smooth and thin
upon it bound a golden ring,
and that is what I see- or rather, saw

These sights though light are hidden rain
-never fading
As i watch for warmth again,
It's return a well-missed friend,
I'll still be waiting.
