♥A Gift From God♥

A Gift from God ~ acrostic

Many a month has passed and seems it's time;
A day that came in with a bang.
Labor began in earnest, the pain a crime.
Zip to hospital, wait be hanged!

Agonizing hours for concerned friends,
Notes passing back and forth for news to learn:
Does anyone know anything, lines churned?

Keen chaos: Malz' life would not be the same,
A new life just minutes away.
Reason fled, Kara Lynn being her name;
A gift from God on this new day.

Loudly, Kara announced her arrival.
Yes! Malz thought, and gazed at her face,
Not recalling the pain: just survival.
Now Kara's close in sweet embrace.

    Well done Bonnie!
    You have captured the "Labour of love" so very well here:

    "Not recalling the pain: just survival.
    Now Kara's close in sweet embrace"

    I remember gazing at my sons face once I had gave birth to him, all the memory of the painful labour just faded away.

    I love this poem. Good luck hun
    Hugs
    Sandie

    Oh Auntie Bon! This was adorable. I love this write....it was just so well done. It had a little humorous feel to it, but still managed to capture the sweetness of this birth! I think you did great on this! I know Mal will hold this dearly for years to come. Thanks for entering our contest. Good luck!

    Bonnie, You have done a most wonderful job with this. It is not always easy to get an acrostic to have a good flow to it but yours does. Beautiful sentiments indeed!! Great job writing this one and I am sure it will be treasured! God Bless and Hugs, Penny

    Bonnie, you always extend such a warm heart, and this is a lovely welcome to Kara Lynn. Looking at the photo, the little one is smiling! They always told me it was gas, but I just don't believe it!

    In the second to that stanza, did you mean "began"? Just asking. This was a beautiful tribute to a beautiful mom and baby. I think she will really appreciate all the wonderful poetry written in her honor.
