Gold-paved Hell

I’m in a gold-paved hell with you
Surrounded by glorious things
You’re so convinced I’m happy too
You can’t see what this feeling brings

‘Cause you just see the outside
There’s nothing left within
You’re long lost to the tide
And I’m thrown into the bin

Bright lights and happy crowds
Are a part of our every day
Mind collided with misty shrouds
You have gone astray

‘Cause you just see the outside
There’s nothing left within
You’re long lost to the tide
And I’m thrown into the bin

Author notes

It's all so fake. And they used to call us the perfect couple. I see now that I belong to my writing, and nowhere else. But it still hurts.
