Small Town Wonderland

Small town Wonderland

We live in a small town wonderland
Born and raised to a world unknown
We fall in love and we grow old
Through our little rift in time

This town is unknown to the outside world
Living in our own little fishbowl
Going through time unseen
We enjoy the worlds pressures

We sip our coffee and read our paper
Never  thinking about what we left behind
The times of going our separate ways
To leave this unseen world behind

We had a lot of wonderful times
Drinking and drugs were the cures
The late night walks passing through time
The notes passed along the way
All the loves that said goodbye

The memories we wish to have back
Chatting about the good times
The long walks in the halls
Hearing our name called to be set free

We come and go through time
Only to stay to collect the memories
The memories once left behind
Into the world with blinded eyes

We all have a dream we believe
Picking up the pieces of our broken heart
Onward we live through our past lies
Wanting to return to the world where we were secure
The world of no pain

Going through this new change
We go through many pains
Leaving behind all our memories that were divine
As we leave this small town wonderland behind
