I Applaud You

I don't know what I've done to deserve special praise
in your stunning tribute poems that leave me amazed.
Some were quite a surprise, reducing me to tears;
but, I know this: each of you lift me up with cheer.
There's lovely pentopaper aka Karen,
whose heart and soul and pen will never be barren.
Then there is sweet AngelEyes711,
aka Sharron: prayers for me sent to heaven.
I must not forget Joanne, my dear sister in Christ:
she writes from All Poetry, despite the high price;
and, she's a fierce warrior if I'm being condemned.
The loving and caring she gives is no pretend.
And, of course, there is Torn Chakra aka Jess,
a prudent and smart young lady, I must confess.
Oh, and of course, there's Night Hope aka Wanda:
in flights of fancy, dreams and poetic drama.
I must mention Albert aka Agazeley,
who wrote a poem to me on a poem about me;
as did Hikmat aka Matt and son Edward:
though in Lebanon, to me they write such kind words.
And last, but certainly not least, is Emily,
a brilliant twelve year old who drew tears from me.
She was Falling Phoenix but now is Lady Bird.
Though still young, she's a master of the written word.
I know I do not deserve all these accolades,
for I'm a mere pitiful Eve on my best days.
But when I'm down, you pen kind words to lift me up:
your encouragement overflows my mission's cup.
I could say, "Thank you so much," but it's not enough
for those of you who stand by me when things get tough.
Still, I can't express the depth of my gratitude,
for your loving kindness is of such magnitude.
THANK YOU, YOU ALL ARE VERY MUCH LOVED !

Firstly- 'I'm a mere pitiful Eve on my best days.' this poem proves this quote wrong. You have an incredible mastery of words, to bring the rhymes together, lovley couplets.
Secondly- I love hearing people praising others, and this is a prime example of applauding our fellows in a beautiful and truthful way, fantastic.
Thirdly- Thank you for taking the time to read all the other entries, that shows respect and interest, clearly reflected not only in your comment, but also in this fantastic poem.
And Forthly- Thank you for the kind comments on my own work, obvoiusly i like comments, but i appreciate the knowledgeable ones so much more, thank you.

I really liked that line. It was my favorite in the whole piece.

Such a humble write
and congratulations on the trophy ....Bonie , no news from Texas as of yet...James is in hospital due to a severe back injury that occured while they did practice drills scaling walss and he took an unfortunate fall and landed on head and back...minor concussion , but has had 2 surgeries on back so far to stabilise his upper and lower spine........so my sis is a nervous wreck and i am considering flying out asap , but we are in the midst of moving , so all is topsy turvy at the moment . But I am sure that if one of his coworkers finds something out , they will notify him ....hang in there

What a beautiful way to show your friendship and care to your your friends! Friendship, and doesn't matter as your friends live next door or across the ocean, is very important and always worth to be cherished. If your friends praise you, it's because you deserve so, I can see here why.

Oh Auntie Bon! You have brought tears to my eyes, and a smile to my face! I enjoyed this so very much! You have made me feel so wonderful, as you always do. I feel I should be thanking you more than you should thank me for each time I talk to you, I know I will always get the best advice. ~My Beloved Bonnie~
I love you Bonnie Q in your heart and soul. You know i do. And somehow every time you write me words of loving grace just flow through me naturally. I don't know how. Need i ever question the reason why? May the eternal heavens bless us all. May we all live and love in eternal peace. This song is a divine testament to your love and to your never-ending devotion to the Lord. We raise one chalice in honour of our Lord and Saviour who sings these songs through you and all of us. For poetry and music is the connection to the heart and well spring of God. As you’re beautiful and graceful poem now blooms as a single daisy rising through the stubborn sod. I now know that the riches we are seeking are the riches within the Holy Scriptures. This is the true gold of our hearts and souls. I see all of us as valuable human beings. Even your lovely birds and the dolphins in the sea have feeling and song as you and me. Let all of us pray for the divine blessing of eternal peace to grace terras shores forevermore. I am a very goof friend of Sharron's and she asked me to read some of your works. This is a lovely tribute to all of your friends here at AllPoetry.I am especially interested i reading your works on MS. My father died of this.
