People try to tell me what to do
but I ignore it as much as possible
I feel no one around here can make their
own choices for someone has already made it
they say we have freedom in this country
I see it but do you
you don't care of course you don't
you just live you life the way you have
all along in this sick and pathetic place
I am trying to make something of my self
but for some reason something is holding me down
I feel like i am under water
no air to breath i am suffocating
but hey you don't care you just walk right on by
not realizing some one is in need for help
I hope one day this world will change
For me that will not happen
no one wants anyone to succeed
cause then that some one knows
you beat them to were they couldn't go
I say this cause I care for myself
I say this cause I want you to leave me for my choices

beautiful write and strong-willed. A friend and I (a friend who's 20 yrs. older than I) were talking about how everyone seems to follow what everyone else does and how it's sickening and how they ignore and tease those of us who don't follow the crowd. This is a very powerful poem and so true.
