I saw a purple rose
In the silver snow.
I passed it by.
I don’t know why.
That night I dreamt
of the purple rose
lying deep and deeper
in the silver snow.
I awoke
I could not sleep.
The rose I saw
would be ours to keep.
Out in the night
I braved the storm
to find the rose
so soft, so warm.
Upon the path
the rose was gone,
'Twas in the mouth
of a little faun.
I followed the faun,
drew in my hood,
came to a snowdrift
where you stood.
We fell in love
that time ago
a faun, a rose
the silver snow.

yes, I see, a bit off here and there... nice to go back and fix things I didn't see before, though! Always room for improvement (as long as one can still tinker...)

The title itself took my breath away..I believe this piece also will be made home into my bookmarks list..the mere thought of a beautiful purple flower in silver snow takes my breath away..the imagery here was amazing and I can see this turn into a full-fledged movie! I'm addicted to shiny things..and silver is one of my favorite colors! The mixture of a beautiful flower and that visual totally calmed me down and made me escape reality for a moment..Once again bravo!
