"True Friends"
Josh, you might have never known,
how much you'd truly be missed...
You might have thought, just by family,
But, I've seen it in all your friends...
A year is here today, and your party
went just as planned...
They emptied out the pony, and
started with the cans...
As the night went on, only a few,
felt the need to break down...
Daddy and I took the time to listen,
and felt you would be proud...
I made it thru the night,
just like I promised you...
But, now that everyone's gone,
what is it I should do?...
You know it means so much to Daddy and I,
that your friends still come around...
And as for you my son,
well, I know you saw the crowd...
Now, we both have realized that some,
hurt as much as we do...
My purpose is now to help you,
by helping them get thru...
I always thought I knew,
just how much true friends meant,
But, after losing you, we've learned,
they are heaven sent...
Author notes
This kinda explains how much I've learned, and how much it's meant this year, to realize who our "True Friends" are. To realize, Josh made "True Friends" in his short time here, and to realize his friends, have became our friends..."True Friends"

this poem speaks only the truth. freinds are a dime a dozen and when you find a true friend hold on to them.

This broke my heart and I wipe my tears as I type this. Only those who have grieved loss of a loved one, truly know just how deep grief really goes. Others can only imagine. My heart to yours as I wish you a gentle healing.
