Love conquers all?

I used to be so sure that you loved me,
I could feel it when you touched me,
I dropped the barriers cause I never thought you’d desert me.
Even more I trusted you when you said you’d never hurt me.
Funny how darkness always seems to come to light,
I could play the game but two wrongs never make a right.
When I came into your life I wasn’t searching for more strife,
A lot of the things I’ve grown accustomed to I was, ready to sacrifice. All cause I wanted to become your wife.
They say love is blind and patience is a virtue.
Now I’m lost, I’m standing on the outside looking in because I can’t see me with no one else but you.
I’m a woman and my womanly intuitions rarely lead me astray.
If I were to do all the things that you do, would you go?
Or would you stay?
You said you were looking for love,
Told me I didn’t know what I wanted,
but look at who’s pushing whom away!
Only time will tell, if love conquers all, or if it will fail somewhere, along the way. FOR REAL!!!!

    wow hon you did and amazing job with this peice. I could feel you emotions as the poem went on. I know how you feel in this peice. You write so amazingly i sware you could write about dirt and make it sound beautiful.

    I'm so happy to see a new poem by you!!
    Though I must say, this is sooooooooooooo sad.
    ONLY my personal opinion here, ok?? The guy in this poem seems
    like he would say almost anything, mostly lies.
    The girl in this asked... If I were to do all the things that you do, would you go? Or would you stay?

    My answer is, No. He wouldn't stay. I'm not trying guy bash here, however, For some strange reason, guys seem to think they can continue their behaviors, (Single life) and we girls shouldn't. Most all guys need to grow up, and let me tel ya this... It takes some a very long time, I was dating a 53 yr. old and he was the Biggest baby of all!! That rat!
    Ok, I'm in a strange mood here, can't you tell???
    I am by no means a good critique'er or rapper.
