As I clicked on this website,
I needed a great user name,
one that would do me proud,
in case of fortune and fame.
I thought of the birth name,
mom and dad had given to me,
they named me Sandra Elaine ,
they started calling me Sandy.
My hair was a sandy blond color
my eyes colored emerald green,
I knew Sandy would be a part,
of any user name on the screen.
Thinking of a sweet candy gram,
loved ones send candy in the mail,
a thought popped into my brain,
I had the name for all my email.
I was also a proud grandmother,
they love to call me their gram,
so I put two names together,
now poet is who I am.

A cute poem. Hope you win the contest. You have the most trophies I have seen so far in one's lap. I only have a few, but I do this for selfish reasons. I like it. It encourages me to be more productive in my music. I suspect you have enough material for a book. Have you published one?

proud grandma I look so forward to being some day, you lucky charm.... now we are competing in the same contest but it is a fun one I do know of myself and it did answer some questions some had asked of me in a fellowship class, hehehehe
so by answering this question I quivered a call in many a way to answer a call I had never quite been able to attempt before today.
