Too Much is Not Enough

too much is not enough
when it comes to you
as the night will tell
the day the stars fell.

the moon cried your tears
the sun wiped away your fears
as you lay on the ground
with no one around

you dont even feel the pain
you would do it all again
just for that thing you see
at the edge of you and me.

fall off the edge again
let the empty night begin
you will never know
what you mean
to me.

    I think the two most definitive statements in the poem are the very first and very last, "too much is not enough with it comes to you" and, "you will never know what you mean to me". That being said, I truly found this an interesting poem due to the usage of natural terms, such as the moon and sun, taking on humanistic traits of compassion, and empathy. This was a poignant write, not too long and definitely not too short.

    Also thanks for the comment.
